I flew gun cover over Frank many times while he hovered over VC base camps and followed their trails through the jungle at tree-top height. He received fire at close range on many occasions. He always kept going back for more. He had a lot of guts.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

Two men from D Troop, 1/4th Cavalry, died when their OH-6A helicopter (tail number 66-07926) was hit by a B-40 rocket while on a visual recon mission. The helicopter exploded in flight, and the wreckage landed and burned in the jungle treetops. The men were
