Scott like many of us had left a young wife behind and he was soon to be a father. He didn't know much about the politics of war, but he knew his role as a soldier and he did it well. He was a good leader and a good friend. Everyone approaches war a little differently, Scott approached it head-on and in the lead. He died fighting when 1st Platoon was ambushed west of An Khe. The world is a better place because he was here.
