19 Nov 2001 Jerry was the first boy to let me wear his football jacket. I was in the 7th grade. My Dad was instrumental in having the Vietnam Memorial built in Saline County. 26 May 2006 Jerry Cantrell was my cousin. We were just two months apart in age, and we grew up together in a small rural community near Benton, Arkansas. I attended Jerry's funeral in 1969, and it was one of the saddest days of my life. He was buried at Gravel Hill Cemetery, which is located on Highway 9 South in Saline County, Arkansas, near his boyhood home. Jerry was a dear, sweet young man. I think of him often, and I miss him.
