A Note from The Virtual Wall The 2nd Battalion, 39th Infantry, lost four men on 09 Oct 1967. As a medic, SP5 Collins almost certainly would have been in the field with one of the rifle companies, but The Virtual Wall cannot determine if all four men died in the same engagement or which company he was with. The four men were SP5 Floyd E. Collins, Lithonia, GA, HQ Company SP4 Odes H. Moutardier, Marathon, FL, Company E PFC Thomas U. Way, Rochester, NY, Company E PVT Richard C. Engroff, Columbia, PA, Company A Visit John Dennison's Medics on the Wall memorial which honors the Army Medics and Navy Corpsmen who died in Vietnam.
