Dave, I think of you often, along with many other soldiers. I remember your professional knowledge as an Infantry Ranger. You were fearless and confident. I remember that no matter how tough things were you always had a smile (or was that a smirk?). I'm sorry that every one of you didn't get to come home. I owe you a lot for watching out for me. This country owes a lot to men like you. Thanks again.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

C Company, 2/12th Cavalry, lost two men on 20 May 1966:
  • SGT Wilford P. Coller, West Carthage, NY, and
  • SP4 David L. Crow, Coushatta, LA.
Both men were awarded posthumous Bronze Stars for the actions which led to their deaths.
