I lost my Dad when I was a small child. My Mom does not like to talk much about that time in her life, but I would like to know in more detail about my father.

I would like to hear from anyone who served with
James Herbert Dye.

From his son,
James M. Ford

To Jim's Son:

I was Jim's Platoon Sergeant when he was killed in May 69. If I can help you in any way with information about your father please feel free to contact me at captdholloway@yahoo.com . It's been so very long but some take longer to heal than others. Sorry for your loss. This is for real.

James was a good friend of mine in Vietnam. The day he died was a very bad day for all of us. Jimmy went down fighting. I was more devastated by his death because we were good friends. He was so alive and so friendly. Such a waste. God Bless, Jimmmy, wherever you are.
