The stories of my uncle's soaring intellect, infinite compassion and dedication to public service make him one of my life's most enduring inspirations. He is sorely missed by the family he left behind and deeply admired by the family who never had the pleasure of meeting him.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

The 1st Battalion, 4th Marines Command Chronology for October 1967 notes that the Battalion began OPERATION GRANITE at 0645 on 26 October. According to the Operations Log, Delta 1/4 had three contacts during the day, with a total of six men wounded in action by small arms fire and one wounded by mortar fire. Other records available from the LBJ Library confirm Corporal Enriquez's assignment to Delta 1/4 and indicate that he was one of the six men hit by small arms on 26 October.
