He lived the life of commitment to duty and integrity while seeing the good in all situations. We miss him always and live our lives that he may live through us. Welcome home, Pat. 10 Nov 2005 I never had the pleasure or honor of knowing Pat personally. I did though meet his sister Mary about twelve years ago when I responded to a post she'd left about Pat. I've learned a lot about Pat over the years I've known Mary. Most of it from her and her family, who I actually visited about five years ago. Mary and I had already gotten together at "The Wall" in DC in 1997. Pat has a wonderful family and they miss him dearly. I've also been in contact with some men who served with Pat in Vietnam. Their words are like an echo. Pat was a friend, he was kind, compassionate, highly respected, and a trusted leader, who always had the safety and well being of his men first and foremost in his mind. Pat, you're truly an inspiration and a hero. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, DEDICATION AND SACRIFICE and WELCOME HOME! YOU'LL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! Lozano, San Antonio, TX Staff Sergeant Francis completed NCO School in Class 13-68, graduating on 07 March 1968 from the 76th Company.
