A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 06 Dec 1966 an F-4C (tail number 63-7521) of the 559th Tactical Fighter Squadron was lost while it was being vectored down through heavy cloud on approach to Cam Rahn Bay Air Base. Both crewmen were killed when the F-4 impacted a mountain peak:
  • Major Lee A. Greco, Gilroy, CA
  • 1stLt John M. Troyer, Beach City, OH
