I was there the day you lost your life on that trail coming out of an abandoned NVA ville, along with Hartman and Owens. We were in different squads, and all these years I couldn't remember your name and the other two Marines who died with you, even though I was one of the Marines that got to you to try and save you. May you rest in peace my brother, and know, as long as I live, you will never be forgotten.
