SFC STEPHEN DONALD GLECKLER

06 Apr 2008

Stephen is my father and I am very proud of his service and sacrifice. He was a few days short of Deros and had just come back from R&R with my Mom in Hawaii. His assignment was at the Battalion TOC. He had already checked in his M-16 when word came of the contact, he borrowed another M-16 and caught the chopper to the canal. He didn't even volunteer for the duty - he just went which is how he ended up with Delta Co. He lived up to and added to the proud Wolfhound Heritage.

From his son,
Chris Van Lierop
