The only male in a family with eleven sisters, Leon did not have to go to Vietnam when he was drafted ... he chose to go! He had a great love for the game of baseball. So talented that he had a prospect to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and oh, how he was looking forward to playing for that team! Sadly, his professional potential was never realized.
My, My, has it been almost 40 years ... Gone, but never forgotten.
