Carson,

It's been thirty-three years. You've been gone from us longer than we had you with us. The pain of losing you never goes away. It is as fresh today as it was that February when they told us you were missing, then later confirmed that you were dead. Each February it all comes back again.

From a friend.

His classmates loved him; one of them called him "the best of us all". The men he worked with and the men he served with loved him. The best thing about it was that he never seemed to realize what a special person he was.

We can never forget him.
