A Note from The Virtual Wall C Co, 19th Combat Engineers, lost six men on 24 May 1969 - five of their own and an artilleryman who was on temporary duty with the engineers: SGT Stephen L. McCarvel, Great Falls, MT, C Btry, 4th Bn, 60th Arty Rgt SP4 Mark W. Fenner, Indianapolis, IN SP4 Gary A. Neavor, Bettendorf, IA SP4 Stanley Turner, Atlanta, GA PFC David A. Hargens, Nickerson, NE (Bronze Star "V") PVT Elmer E. Fields, Fairfax, OK These men are remembered by their brothers on the 19th Engineers site SP4 David A. Hargens is buried in Ridge Cemetery, Fremont, Nebraska.
