My brother, Ronald A. Hessman, died Oct 30, 1967, in Viet Nam, while serving on board the aircraft carrier USS CORAL SEA.

He was awarded the Purple heart and Viet Nam service medal posthumously.

He died in a very similar incident that Sen John McCain survived during his tour of duty in the Viet Nam War.
