07 Jun 2006 This memorial is for my uncle Jimmy Hesson. I was only 4 months old when he was killed in Vietnam but I feel the love that he had for me from the letters that he wrote to my mother right after I was born. He was and still is a hero in my life and I truly miss him. I know that Jimmy is smiling down at me every time I look up at the sky and smile at him. I love you and miss you, Jimmy. A Note from The Virtual Wall Four men from A Company, 1/35th Infantry, were killed in an action on 21 Jan 1967: SP4 Jimmy D. Hesson, Lafayette, TN; CPL Manuel V. Trevino, San Antonio, TX; PFC Charles M. Yates, Dallas, TX (Silver Star); and PFC William A. Jones, Colorado Springs, CO. They are remembered by their fellow soldiers from the 35th Infantry - the Cacti Regiment
