Glynn Byron Holley was born May 27, 1949 in San Jose, California, but was raised and attended schools in Midland, Texas. He joined the Air Force after high school. He died of illness on December 26, 1969 while serving in Vietnam. He is remembered by the Permian Basin Vietnam Memorial located at the Midland International Airport, Midland, Texas. May he never be forgotten.

A1C Glynn Holley was a true "horseman" with the 554th. On 20 Oct 1969 he was assigned to the 560th CE Group (Heavy Repair) at Auxilliary Field 2, Eglin AFB, Florida, where he attended Field Orientation Training ... duration 45 days. He then was assigned to the 554th Civil Engineering Squadron (Red Horse), 35th Combat Support Group, at Phan Rang Air Base in the Republic of Vietnam.
