Taken away much too soon, you were never able to see the greatest things in your life. You are missed every day. I am so proud to be your son and one day we will be together again. Until that day I Love You and miss you with all my heart.

From his son,
Mark Hunter

A Note from The Virtual Wall

Charlie 2/35 lost two men killed in action on 23 Feb 1969 when an enemy force came across their night position in Darlac Province - PFC Daniel W. Gleason of Bay City, Michigan and PFC Nathan E. Hullett of Birmingham, Alabama. Other US soldiers were injured in the exchange of fires.

On 17 Nov 2002 SP4 Robert B. Hunter, a medic with C/2/35, died from the lasting effects of the wounds he received more than 32 years earlier.

They are remembered
by their brothers-in-arms of the

35th Infantry

"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother ..."
