Although I was only five when my father was killed, I remember quite a lot about him. He was a wonderful father. He always had time to play with me. Saturday mornings we'd sit in his chair together and watch cartoons. We both loved Spiderman. I miss you, Daddy.

I was a Rifle Platoon leader with 1/18th, 1st Infantry Div., 10-1969 to 3/70, Vietnam. Captain Kelley was my Company Commander at the time he was killed in action. I was Mike Platoon leader under him. He was the finest leader I ever saw and I will never forget him.

I was an Infantryman in Company A, 1/18th Infantry, from June 69 to 1970. Captain Kelley was my Company Commander. Capt. Kelley was intelligent, compassionate and the finest leader I ever met. He was brave and walked point at times that he didn't have to. I have never forgotten him and never, never will. He had the respect and love of all his men.

I was 18 months when Dad got killed. I don't remember him but have worked very hard to keep his memory alive. I recently had the honor to spend some time with some of Dad's men. They admired and respected him and have never forgotten about him. He was a wonderful man and is missed everyday. I miss and love you Daddy.
