A Note from The Virtual WallThe pilot, crew chief, and five passengers were killed when a U-1A OTTER (tail number 57-6119) of the 54th Aviation Company crashed during take-off from Long Binh on 22 Nov 1967:
It was especially sad that none of the newly-arrived soldiers had been in Vietnam more than a week, and one - PVT Sasaki - died the very day he arrived in South Vietnam. |
