I remember King on a daily basis. We served together in a recon platoon, and were both wounded on the fourth of October, 1966. I rotated out of country in November and was saddened to hear of his death later while at Fort Bragg, N.C.

God bless him and the others who gave their lives. I know all of us who were there carry a love for our fallen brothers and God only knows how we wish things could have turned out differently than they did.
