A Note from The Virtual Wall On 04 May 1967, 1st Bn 5th Infantry was conducting a sweep through the Ho Bo Woods. During the day six men were killed in separate actions, four from the Recon Platoon and one each from A and B Companies: A Company: PFC William E. McGinnis, Grand Haven, MI B Company: SSG James N. Law, Martinsburg, WV Recon Platoon, HHC: SP4 Jack R. Lenner, Brook Park, OH PFC Thomas A. Brynelsen, Chicago, IL PFC John S. Cartwright, Pine Hill, NJ (Bronze Star "V") PFC Ralph W.
