Alfred and I grew up in New York City's Spanish Harlem. We got drafted into the Army May 16th 1968. A very close friend and very real person passed on May 12th 1969. Miss you, my brother!

A Note from The Virtual Wall

A number of US and ARVN positions in Tay Ninh Province received enemy fire and/or ground attacks on 12 May 1969. The men from HQ Company, 1st Cavalry Division Support Command, were killed by enemy fire:
  • SP4 James R. Harrison, Abilene, TX;
  • CPL Alfred L. Lawyer, New York, NY; and
  • PFC John H. Crisp, Marietta, GA.
The Virtual Wall cannot determine their location at death.
