READ HIS MEDAL OF HONOR CITATION
|
As a comrade in arms who was an Cadet at West Point when LTC Lucas was a tactical officer, I fondly remember him and his leadership prowess. With his passing we lost a great officer and a true hero who received the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously for his valorous and gallant deeds that led to his death. It is with deep gratitude that we are remembering LTC Andre Lucas and all the others who served and died in times of war so that we may enjoy the Freedom and Liberties that make the United States of America great.
