Daniel was my friend and coach.
I'd like him to be placed with Honor on your wall.

D. M. Lynch and I were in the same Boot Camp Recruit Platoon (2010) in the summer of 1967. He was smart, strong and full of courage. Lynch went on to become our Platoon Honorman.

We lost contact after Boot Camp. I landed in Vietnam in early December of that year. After being wounded twice and eventually discharged out of the Corps, I was informed of D. M.'s death by another Boot Camp pal (J. R. Munoz).

Honorman Lynch: Your dedicated service and your ultimate sacrfice is honored by those of us who served next to you. You live yet, forever in our hearts and in our minds. We, your Platoon mates of MCRD 2nd Recruit Bn Platoon 2010, remember you and honor you with our sincre respect and gratitude.

I remain
Semper Fidelis,
