Captain Maddox was the Commanding Officer (Delta 6) of Delta 1/7. He died when his Jeep ran over a mine. I joined Delta Company after his death. I hope to find out more about Richard for later updates with maybe a photo.

Richard earned the Silver Star for his action. He was the CO of Delta right before my brother, 2nd Lt Patrick Witt joined that Company.
