A Note from The Virtual Wall

Hospitalman Jimmy Mathis was a Navy Corpsman assigned to C Company, 1/5 Marines. According to the 1/5 Marines' Operations Log, he was killed by a mine while on patrol 3 kilometers north-northeast of Hoi An.
