You were a part of the "3rd Herd" when you started your life as a Marine. Platoon 3008, Parris Island, SC. There were 82 of us in that "Herd". It was the start of the toughest 12 weeks of our lives as we saw it. The reality was it is preparation for the tough times to come and our initiation in to the Brotherhood of Warriors known to the world as The United States Marine Corps. Six of our guys from Platoon 3008 sacrificed all. One of these six heroes was you. You are always in our hearts and we speak your name often so you will never be forgotten. The world has changed its attitude towards the Vietnam Vets. We our now respected but our Brotherhood has never wavered. We have held each other in love and esteem. We have held a special place in our hearts for you ... our fallen brother. Rest in Peace, my Marine Corps brother. Until we meet again in Heaven, I know that God has watched over your loved ones and kept them in His loving embrace.
