You are thought of often and still missed. You and your brothers were the little brothers I never had. I was your baby sitter when you lived in Haskins and you and your older brother gave me the mumps when I was a teenager and you were both so disappointed that I did not get them as badly as you two had them.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 18 Nov 1970 CW2 Benton Lewis Miller, instructor pilot, and WO1 Thomas Allison Knopik, pilot under instruction, were flying a training flight from Quang Tri Airfield in UH-1H tail number 69-15565. As the aircraft was on final approach to the field it appeared to decelerate, then rolled right into a vertical descent. The tail boom separated before ground impact. Both crewmen were killed in the crash.
