James was my cousin. I didn't get to know him - he died before I was born. I found out about him when I was in JROTC in high school. My mother told me that I had a cousin who died over there in Vietnam. His nickname was "Bubby" and I wish I could have had the chance to meet him so I could thank him for fighting for the freedom of others. He will forever be in my heart even though I didn't get to meet him but I still would like to thank him and all the guys for what they did for all of us.

I love and miss you, cuz. Never got to meet you but wish I could have. But one of these days I will get to meet you. I know that you are up there in heaven watching down on me. If you could, Bubby, help me out and help me find out about you. I will never give up on my dreams of getting all your medals and patches and putting them in with your picture that I have on my wall. I want to do this to show you the respect that I have for you. You gave up your life for me to have my freedom and I want to honor you for it.

Love from your cuz,
Beva Orr
