A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 20 November 1965, C Company, 2/28 Infantry lost six men in an engagement near Trung Loi, 5 kilometers west of Chon Thanh airfield in Binh Long Province:
  • 2LT Andre Haroulakis, Warren, OH;
  • SGT Connie L. Chandler, Des Moines, IA;
  • SGT Kenneth E. Sargent, Auburn, WA;
  • SP4 Ivan Noteboom, Todd, SD (medic, HQ Co w/ C/2/28);
  • SP4 William J. Taylor, East Jordan, MI (medic, HQ Co w/ C/2/28); and
  • PFC John P. Emerling, New York, NY.
