My father was 29 years old when he died. He was a Marine who died in February of 1970. He was in combat in the Vietnam war. I was seven years old when he died. I thank God that I was never in that war or had to see it. I only wish that he was here now to see his daughter at 37 years old almost 30 years later. I don't remember much about him, only what a 6 or 7 year old can retain, but I do know that I am proud of him and have been told by many family members that I carry a lot of the same traits, looks and similarities that he had. I would like to think that people nowadays think a little more liberal then back then Dad's Mom, my grandma, passed away in 1991 on his birthday. I never have been a religious person but I know that the angels up there watch over me. By the way, my email address is derived from my dog's name, Gomer. Yes, I am an animal lover: guess it runs in the family. My dad used to take in strays. I would love to hear from someone that knew my Dad.

18 Nov 2005 A BIG HELLO to all Vietnam soldiers... It's getting toward the holidays. I wish all a safe and happy place to be. If you feel alone please send me an Email I will be glad to speak with you. Not that I was there or truly understand but I have done some volunteer work with the veterans with my dog, and have learned a lot about Vietnam. I wish my Dad was here to see me as a grown woman today. I miss his smile and his singing the song of PEEWEE THE KIWI and he loved the song I DID IT MY WAY by Frank Sinatra. I set that site up for my Dad 6 years ago. Who can believe all that time has gone by? I still have my dog Gomer, he is now 11 years old. As for me I am now 43 years old. I have a good job and live in Dracut, Massachussetts. I have never forgotten my Dad or any of the men who fought in Vietnam. I see the news about the war in Iraq that is still going on and it's been too long. We are losing many good men and women over there. The best to all who served and came home, to those who gave their life, and to those who lost a loved one.
My honor, my heart and my respect.
