My friend, I remember that day that you and the others were killed on May 7, 1968. It seems as though it was yesterday when we were conversing about home during a short patrol break. Who was to know that I would be the one to make it home? Only God knows why! Vietnam was hell and that we will carry with us until we die.

Well, friend, I salute you all who gave it all for our country. It is called the ultimate sacrifice. Your country has not forgotten you. This kind of honor and courage will forever be remembered and the sacrifices were not in vain.
