I grew up hearing stories of my uncle. I never met him, he died when my mother was a little girl, but he was her hero. He didn't have to go to Vietnam, he was the last son to carry on the name, but he believed in his country, and he went. I'm proud of my uncle, though I never knew him. And I'm proud and grateful to all those young men and women who said "yes" to their country's call. I love you, Uncle Ralph.

From a niece.
