Mike, I see your face in my memories and dreams every day, and have met with your younger brother who was too young to remember you, and wondered what kind of a person that you were. All I could say was, "A Fine Marine and Brave", and, "You would have been proud of him", for I lack the words to express the emptiness in my heart. We promised to get back together after the war, and it never happened. If and when I get to heaven, please meet me there. I just wish that I knew someone who was with you in those last minutes. I miss you, Marine. Semper Fidelis. |
