A Note from The Virtual Wall

At 0908 hours 02 Mar 1968 Company C, 1/5 Infantry, received sniper fire which wounded SP4 Charles G. Rehberger; he died later in the day. Rehberger had started his tour in the field but had been assigned to a relatively safe headquarters job. He later requested and received reassignment to his field unit. He was due to end his tour on 18 April.
