Wayne Russell was my nephew. He was born in New Orleans on the 1st day of July and was killed in action on the 23rd of June. He and I used to go skating before he was drafted into the Army. He is surely missed. He had a girlfriend by the name of Betty and he also had a baby girl who was born after he died, she also died at birth with a hole in her heart.
