A Note from The Virtual WallOn 18 July 1967 B Company, 1/2nd Infantry, lost seven men killed in action:
"PFC Ribera was killed in action while serving with 1st Bn 2 Inf First Infantry Division... He was treating a wounded soldier during a battle on 07/18/67 and was posthumously awarded the Silver Star. I was there. I have never met a man who could smile when facing adversity like he could."
