Thomas Elden Rose was a great man. He was married to my mother and she misses him very much. Tom gave his life for his country and to me he is a hero. He is deeply missed every day.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

SP4 Thomas E. Rose was one of four US soldiers killed in a fight at Nham Phuoc (1) hamlet on Hill 411, 11 kilometers west of Quang Ngai City on 19 July 1969. The other three men were from Delta 3/1:
  • PFC Bernard F. Deutsch, Ionia, IA
  • PFC James R. Devney, Eau Claire, WI
  • PFC Robert L. Seekamp, Kendall, WI
