ONE MORE BACK? Craig had become the Marine he wanted to be, and then gone one step further to become a 1st Recon Bn Marine. To be part of a unit that works together, like a machine and cares about each member -- as a family would -- is something one needs to experience to understand. We in 1st Recon Bn look at the 150 plus names that did not come back - and we ask ourselves "Why did I make it back and they did not?" The ghost is with us and has been for 35 years. Our wish has always been -- why couldn't we have brought at least one more back? To Craig's parents, relatives and friends we say "Thank you" for sharing him with us in Recon Bn. Our prayers are with you and we do understand the loss. He is with us every day in our thoughts of Nam - and he is part of our history in 1st Recon Bn.
