Jon Sanders was my dad. He died on his way to help other soldiers. I was only 8 years old at the time and am now 40 years old and a new Grandmother. I only have my broters and my younger sister and my Aunt Sally who was my Dad's sister and a uncle from my mom's side left. Unfortunately it took me having a grandson to really seek out information about my dad. I'm not sure why but I have this need to find out all I can. So if there is anyone out there that might have known my Dad or served with him in the Air Force in the 60's or 70's? His name was Jon H. Sanders and he lived in Minnesota and Florida and was married to Diane on March 3rd 1963. I was born in 1964, March 1st. Please E-Mail me at rrf1501@yahoo.com.
