A Note from The Virtual Wall
The 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry's operations logs for 27 and 28 November 1968 describe a vicious engagement which took place in Tay Ninh Province about 15 kilometers southeast of Katum. Seven US soldiers were killed in the fight:
