It has been a long time, 32 years, since we were together, we were so young, we never thought that we would or could be killed. But that was not to be. Just a short time after you lost your life, those that were left of us came home. I will always remember how young we were. We always talked about getting together when we got home. I looked for you a long time. Just today I found you, after all these years. I would like to say to you, "I remember, if no one else does, you were my friend then and you are still my friend." We were comrades in arms, so my friend, I say to you, Rest in Peace, you will always be in my mind. So long ago, so long ago.

My Friend, I have missed you every day. I came back to the World but have not healed. To heal, my friend, would dishonor your memory, and that I cannot do. I remember that big overgrown smile that you wore as if it were only yesterday, but in fact it was a lifetime ago. My family knows you. My wife and my children have seen your picture and have heard your name a thousand times. They have seen tears shed for you. My friend, I have missed you terribly. In my mind we are still young and in country. Sleep well my friend, someday we shall meet again.
