For any family member or friend of this soldier I have a picture that I took while on the Run to the Wall that would be a great memorial. It is a picture of the wall with reflections in it and the clearest visible name is Ronald E Sherman. A Note from The Virtual WallPFC Ronald Sherman was a medic and as such almost certainly would have been in the field with one of 1/12's rifle companies. According to his casualty records he was wounded in a friendly fire incident and subsequently died of his wounds - but the date he was injured is not known. What is known is that A Company 1/12 lost 16 other men on 30 March 1966 in a bitter fight at Plei Me in the Chu Pong Massif area of Pleiku Province. PFC Sherman may have been involved in that engagement.
