Danny, as we called him, was a gentle young man with a big heart. He was always looking out for all of the younger kids in our old neighborhood. He graduated from Richmond High School in late May of 1968 and was killed over a year later on July 2nd, 1969. A sadder note to this story was he said he did not want to graduate because he would get drafted and die in Viet Nam. Rest easy this day, fellow Viet Nam veteran and friend, for you are missed and will never be forgotten. |
