Rodney Howe Smith is on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Panel 21E Line 053.
Rod Smith was a USMA grad. He was a big-time skier. Just before his tour in Vietnam, he was stationed at West Point and was a volunteer coach for USMA's ski team. After he died, one of the ski runs was named "Smith Run."
