A Note from The Virtual Wall Three men from C Troop, 1/9th Cavalry, died when their OH-6A observation helicopter (tail number 67-16079) was shot down: WO John C. Wallace, Neosho, MO, pilot; SSG John W. States, Baltimore, MD, observer; and SP4 Douglas E. Gossage, St Louis, MO, gunner.
