Hey Dad...
We miss you with all our hearts.

I was only 6 when you left us but 34 years later you still have a profound impact on my life. I have met many people throughout the years who have nothing but kind words. You must have been a truly amazing person.

Love you,
Gardner

A Note from The Virtual Wall

The casualty database indicates Lieutenant Colonel Torrence, a West Point graduate with the Class of 1955, was killed in a helicopter accident on Lao May Island, 10 kilometers southeast of Can Tho. Since there were no known fatal US helo incidents on 18 May 1971 it seems probable he was aboard a Vietnamese Air Force aircraft.
