Hey Dad... I was only 6 when you left us but 34 years later you still have a profound impact on my life. I have met many people throughout the years who have nothing but kind words. You must have been a truly amazing person.
Love you, |

He is still in my heart even though I have never seen him. Love, Matthew

A Note from The Virtual WallThe casualty database indicates Lieutenant Colonel Torrence, a West Point graduate with the Class of 1955, was killed in a helicopter accident on Lao May Island, 10 kilometers southeast of Can Tho. Since there were no known fatal US helo incidents on 18 May 1971 it seems probable he was aboard a Vietnamese Air Force aircraft. |

The point-of-contact for this memorial is his son, Gardner Torrence gtorrence@gaithersburgmd.gov |
