My dearest grandfather,
I wish so badly I could have met you, we all needed you here with us, my father - your son - especially. I'm sure you would have been a wonderful grandfather, I just wish I could have gotten the chance to know you.

See you in heaven,
- Kalyn -

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On the night of 24/25 Feb 1968, as the TET Offensive was in its last throes, Fire Support Base JAEGER, located on the south bank of the Mekong River about 12 kilometers west-southwest of My Tho, was assaulted and partially over-run by enemy forces. Twenty-two US soldiers are known to have died in the fighting.

More information and a complete list of
the men who died that day can be found on the
FSB Jaeger Memorial
