Two Servicemen From Illinois Die In Vietnam

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Defense Department today released the names of two Illinois men who have been killed in Vietnam. They are: Army Pfc. Stephen C. Henderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hale Henderson of Kenney; Army Pfc. Theodore A. Trock, son of Mrs. Helen C. Trock, of Lansing.

He was the son of the late Helen D ( -2011) and Walter P. Trock ( -1963) who at the time their son's death, were living at 3632 Jackson Street, Lansing, Illinois. They are all buried at Assumption Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, Glenwood, Cook County, Illinois. He was survived by his sister Bernardine and brothers Walter, Greg, Mark, Brian, and Kevin.

At the time of her death in 2011, Helen had over 50 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren surviving.

SP4 Trock was posthumously awarded a Bronze Star for outstanding meritorious service, and two Army Commendation Medals -- one for Heroism and the other for his service. Thanks to Brian Trock for providing the copies of the medal citations and certificate.
